During my 5 years at FINE, I wrote and told brand stories for our clients, while working on FINE’s own communication and marketing efforts. I created (and gave a personality punch to) FINE staff bios, blog posts, social posts, newsletters, project tours, how-tos, and best practices. I kept our internal voice self-deprecating and our outgoing message Human and Awesome across all copy.

Ongoing PR efforts for FINE included original thought leadership articles and columns. My involvement spanned staff interviews, ghostwriting bylines, authoring my own articles, and content management. I also managed all project and client announcements for the company.

Working with an external partner, we strategized media placement and upcoming content needs to drive brand awareness and engagement in publications like Advertising Week, The Drum, Media Post, Computer Arts, A List Apart, The Portland Egotist, Creative Boom, Net magazine, and Work Design magazine.

I also managed FINE’s blog, writing weekly blog posts covering project launches, new client partnerships, press hits, staff profiles, industry news, and thought leadership articles (plus fun company changes). It was a balance of planning, managing, and creatively developing content (aka, writing it), and working with designers to best express it.

Carrying content to social, I revamped our channels and worked closely with a designer to create a blend of custom illustrations and curated design to showcase our work, people, and wins. I wrote all social media content, published daily, and managed the social communities and editorial calendar across Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook.

I also worked as the internal project manager of the FINE website and managed the design and production of the FINE shop, which worked as an interactive experience for client gifts.
